Dear Sirs, Just what is the purpose of the 1040 X I have read about in
messages from PCN? Is it something I should know about? Please advise,

Editor: Pete, the 1040X is simply an “amended” 1040 for a past year’s return and in this case the year in which we received the distribution that DAL improperly with-held taxes.  Thanks for the question.
