About
Keeping an Outlet and a Network:
Each week I get new subscribers and a
few un-subscribers to the PCN. By the
way that never bothers me and of course you are welcome to come and go as you
please. From those that leave I always
try to learn something and here is an item that I would like to re-emphasize. At the heart of the matter the PCN has been
designed as an online network so that our retired pilot and employee group can
communicate by posting and stay connected with one another through the High Life
and message posts. All of us have
different subjects or sections that we are most interested in. Sometimes an important section goes begging
for new news. That is unfortunate, but
please understand that the primary mission is connection and outlet and
news items are a nice added plus, when available. For example, it has been awhile since we all
have been awaiting important news on the PBGC appeal. Well, while we wait there simply isn’t much
to share until the decision is made. So that
section of the High Life has been a little bare. From time to time other sections have similar
lulls.
Thanks for your understanding of this
and for sticking with the PCN through high times and slow times. And
don’t forget that when you have something you would like to post, send it in,
and we will get it out.

Willie
Really Singing About “Pilots”?:
I have always liked the songs that
Willie Nelson produces, and here is one that I recently have listened to but
think he was really singing about pilots instead of cowboys. Every time he says cowboys think pilots and
see if you don’t agree. My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
Pilots!

Anniversary:
Well, forgive me for publishing another
personal event but dog-gone-it sometimes a fella just has to share. Today, was Barb and my 40th
Anniversary. And just who are these young kids in the photo below?
We went to church on Saturday nite and our visiting
kids just left for church so this Sunday morning, on our anniversary, is now
peaceful and quiet and gave Barb and me a little time to stroll down memory
lane. 40 years ago, the world and our world was sure different. Looking back at
the pictures brought a lot of things to mind and we allowed the memories to
freely flow. A few smiles, a couple of laughs and maybe even a tear or two. As we think about it and look back we see a
mountain of blessings to numerous to count. These 40 years have been good ones
and we're thankful for all those who have shared them with us. Now we look
forward to the rest of our walk together.
