A good
illustration of the differences in carrier aviation. It's night and day... I
never heard a Navy pilot say he enjoyed night traps. The closest it came was,
"Well, you sort of get used to it..."

Every once in a while a civilian will ask me if I miss it. I
always give the same honest answer, that given enough FCLP (field carrier
landing practice) time. I might give it a go on a nice calm sunny day, but they
haven’t printed enough money yet to get me back out there at night.
