Dear PCN (of over 2600 subscribers),
Truly one of our Greatest Holidays
(and we have some good ones)
Three days before T-Day. Now
to be real, this holiday season can get a little hectic. But it is up to us to take a deep breath and
calm down a bit to enjoy the gatherings rather than dread them. After all, there is still time to get the
turkey, make the plans, get an “attitude adjustment” and have a wonderful
holiday. Thanksgiving is so totally
American and this place (America) is STILL very very special. In fact, travel the world over and you’ll
find no place that offers the opportunities and liberties that America
does. So, if we are honest, we all have
a lot to be thankful for and I hope you share with me the feeling that this
holiday can be one of your most memorable yet.
May you and your family
have the Happiest of Thanksgivings!
World Series Surprise - Congrats to
Nats and Nats fans.
Big NCAA Football still great to
watch:
OSU is the best team in the Big Ten (to my Sparty chagrin) and when
they faced off with the they handed the Sparties their lunch. Yesterday, they did the same to Penn St. Of
course Clemson and Alabama are great again this year, but some other teams have
real potential. Every Sat should be fun as
the bowl and playoff picture gets clearer and clearer.
Of course NCAA Basketball has begun
as well:
Even though I keep an eye on college football, my football team
is out of it so to be honest I am happy that basketball is heating up. This week the Maui Invitational is going on
with some very good teams and the Sparties are one of them. Go Green!
MI Bow Hunt report:
I’ll make it short and sweet.
Time in the woods is ALWAYS good and this time it was no different for
me. I had a great hunt, even though it
was not a successful one in the traditional sense. It was a pleasure to introduce some grandkids
to the sport and we quietly watched a number of deer come into our zone. Though I didn’t bag one this year, I
recharged and felt it was great all and all because of the super weather and
time hunting in God’s beautiful creation. Until next year!

PCN subscribers:
I certainly do not need to tell you that since we formed the PCN
that we have lost a lot of good people of whom many were subscribers. 1554, is the number of those whose death
notice has been archived on the PCN Flight West page, as of this post. That is a lot of very very fine people that
we have lost. Our goal is to notify our
group and provide a lasting tribute in honor of their life at PCN Flight West.
Well, with that said, some of you may wonder how our level of
subscriptions has been impacted. In a
very real sense the numbers of subscribers, 2670, has remained virtually the
same as it was shortly after the merge forming the PCN of my old Retired Slug
Network and David Robert’s list back in 2009.

New PCN subscriber Sign Up:
As you most of you know our PCN is a private subscribed to
online community. We maintain a list of
that virtually eliminates spammers or other online undesirables from joining
with a simple sign up procedure, so the applicant can be screened. I am very happy with how this has worked as
we can be assured that everyone on the 2670 member list is legit.
If you know of a pilot who wishes to join our community and
receive our notices they can easily and
painlessly become a subscriber for FREE by simply filling out the SIGN UP form. If a current member vouches for a friend and simply sends in their former Delta
position and email, I have always considered this an appropriate vetting and
added them directly to the list.
Thanks for helping the PCN remain the largest retired Delta
pilot online community and for helping keep our mailing list made up of all
legit subscribers.
