Subject: CRASH AT LGA

Gary,
I flew out of LGA for 30 years and I have done quite a few of slipping and sliding. The accident occurred at about 8:30 PM. the winds were 150/12 G 18. RWY22 was used for landings and RWY 13 for T/O's . There was a 70 degree X/Wind on RWY22.. LGA is below Sea level and there is always an accumulation of water on the RWY. The ceiling was at 900 ft The ILS Cat 2 Mins for RWY 22 is 100 MSL The RWy is 7000 ft long which gives the plane to stop in about 5000 ft on a slippery RWY to stop a B737 at 130 KTS. Throw in Hydroplaning and you have shit to work with. I know, Been there, done that
