How to find us: The
Sale will take place in the Museum Support Building beside the Delta DC-9.
Our May Surplus Sale will take place on Friday, the
8th (second Friday of the month), 9am-2pm. For sale will be Delta-branded
Swiss Army watches, decorative items, office supplies, Northwest Airlines World
Business Class mock-up seat models, Haribo gummi bears (not expired), and much
more.
Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted, but note that the
cash line is usually the quickest.
Surplus Sales take place the second Friday of each month from
9am to 2pm in the Museum Support Building (MSB) across from Hangar 1. These
sales are a fundraiser for the Museum and feature vintage and surplus items not
available in the Museum Store. They're a treasure hunt each time - you never
know what you'll find.
Hope to
see you at the sale.

*Rain or Shine*
The 2015 FLY-IN/DRIVE-IN is sponsored by Delta Golden Wings along with the Candler Field Museum to foster the camaraderie of Delta pilots, spouses, and friends. Fly or drive your airplane or special car and we will place it on display for all to admire! But you don’t need an airplane or special car to participate…just come and join the fun.
Retired Delta Captain and Delta Golden Wings member, Ron Alexander owns and manages Peachstate airport, the Candler Field Museum, and teaches young people the skills to maintain and fly airplanes. There is no admission fee however a donation to the Candler Field Youth Mentorship Program is requested to “Help Youth Achieve Their Dreams.”
Meet with old friends, visit the museum, or admire the cars and planes. Tour a DC-3 on static display and watch a 1917 Curtiss JN-4 take flight (one of only a couple in the world that still flies). For a few dollars take a ride in a vintage Waco YMF-5 biplane, or enjoy lunch in the friendly atmosphere of the Barnstormer Grill. Continue socializing all afternoon with refreshments, music, and a short afternoon program. Avoid the rush hour traffic by staying for a delicious supper at the Barnstormers Grill.
We hope to see you!
