Dick,
If anyone one is applying for disability with the VA due to
exposure to Agent Orange, I highly recommend they contact Disabled American
Veterans (DAV). http://www.dav.org/
They will do the VA paperwork for you and act as your
advocate. It worked for me.

Dick;
Also those of us who flew in Viet Nam were exposed to Agent Orange. There is a registry that they need to get on at their local VA office. It is a physical, straight forward and for those who set foot in Viet Nam are eligible for 100% disability , which is about $3000 a month tax free. I do not know for certain about Parkinson but I would assume it would be one of those maladies that would qualify.
I have my Agent Orange physical the end of the month. I also currently have a high PSA and if I have prostrate cancer, I will be eligible for this compensation.
Since we are talking about health issues, thought I would throw that out there.

Dick, I also wanted to weigh in about Parkinson's.
I too have had Parkinson for about 5 years. The Dr. during my exam asked
me if I was ever around Pesticides? Since I use to crop spray my answer
was yes. He said Parkinson without hesitation. I take my med every
3 hours and I have my good days and bad days.

observation that a lot of pilots seem to have Parkinson’s. In my case,
the medication takes care of most of my symptoms, and I know that it is
progressive but mine doesn't seem seem to be progressing very fast and I
am leading a fairly normal life. I am 77 years old and am looking forward to
many more years.

Michael, has a good idea
for formatting of the HL for IPads.
Maybe someone can give me a little technical help to pull this off.

I'm not overly familiar with the iPad either. What I do know
is that when reading articles online some sites offer a "reader view"
which changes the font to a readable size for me. Here's a link that may
help.
I'm not sure why it works on some sites and not others. It
works much better than just trying to use finger gestures to enlarge text. It's
been a game changer for me. I'm a PC guy but use the iPad a lot when on the go
and for flying apps.
Thanks,
Michael Maher
