This is really good but give yourself 16 minutes.
The definition for a group of optimistic folks  What a job !

   Lidia... :-) aircraft in Antarctica
Saw this on the Discovery channel?  a while back...

Luv it when folks save a relic from the past!  Heck of a job!
Wonder if the inside looked as nice as the outside?

Back in the 70's there was a DC-3 at Green Airpark, Rockledge.
They wanted $200 each for a long flight... somewhere?
The plan was to get 8 or 9 pilots to go.
Rats!   Due to scheduling...   I didn't get included.
I do remember getting into the cockpit and
                  seeing  plumbing  running everywhere!  lol

P.S.   Think there are still 5-6  P-38's and a B-17 trapped
under ice and snow in Greenland?    Lets Go!    lol lol lol

Nothing to it, replace the nose, replace both turbine engines along with cowling,
replace the main gear and taxi it out onto the smooth snow surface.
 Piece of cake.
A big hand to those Canadians.  And the guy with DEEP pockets !!

Some of you may have seen these pics before… Lots of aircraft from the 1950s through the 1970s depicted here. Nostalgic pictures from the "Boneyard"

Subject: 100 year history of the Air Force in San Antonio, Texas
for all you guys that enjoy aviation history --- do NOT miss this one.   Pop a beer/coke and enjoy the history lesson !    M
Guys….
This is almost 30 minutes long but well worth it!!!
Greetings.  If you've not seen this video, it's worth your time to watch it to the end, and follow the development of air power, including the U.S. Air Force, in the San Antonio area.  Very interesting history of the role of all the bases here, beginning with Fort Sam Houston.  You might even feel like breaking into the Air Force song a time or two along your viewing venture.
