Subj: Re: Delta Baggage Handlers.

I had the honor of bringing a young Army Private home to ORD. Aboard were his father, (younger than me, and still active duty Army), his young wife and his not yet 2 yr old boy.
When we touched down in ORD, no other traffic was allowed to move, and we were cleared all the way into the ramp. There were many emergency vehicles lined up with lights flashing, and the reception below the plane was just as poignant as it was in ATL when we prepared to depart.
I had a long layover scheduled and was asked by his Dad if I would come out to the church and cemetery for the service. His two brothers, who are also active duty Army were there, along with many friends and family. The freedom riders who met us at ORD were there at the cemetery, and presented the coffin flag to the young son. When the young wife's knees buckled at the end of the service, for a moment, I thought mine would go too.  It was a touching, but hard to get through, ceremony.
Probably the most unforgettable, and saddest,  trip of my career.

For all the bad we hear about airlines, this will warm your heart and bring tears to your eyes.

Delta Baggage Handlers.

This will give you goose bumps or tears!   This is done at D/FW International Airport.

As you watch the video, notice the number of people watching from inside the terminal.
Most people have no idea Delta does this.
