You are right! Actually
our grandson, Craig Swartz, agreed to do all of the work. He hopes to
have his Private Pilot License by then. He and his wife presented
us with another GREAT GRANDSON. That makes 8 great grandkids for us.
We are located at: 28695 East 2900 North
road, Dwight,IL.
Travel directions are: From the
intersection of Route 47 and Route 17 on the east side of Dwight, go south 3
miles to Road 2900 North Road. Turn left (east). Drive east 1 3/4 miles
to our home
The airport ID is 61is. Listed on the
Chicago sectional as JIM AND PEG. We will be monitoring 122.85 MHz.
We are going to have a
lot of friends and relatives here too. There will be NO donation jar.
Friends include all of our Pilot friends!!!!
I hope we have good turn
out from our Delta pilots and wives/friends or whatever.
If anyone wishes to camp,
there will plenty of room. Craig has planted some oats along the runway
for aircraft parking.

Peg asked me if I had set a time. We will have coffee, juice, and
donuts(fat pills). We will eat the main meal around noon. We will set up by
0800 for early arrivals. Anyone who will be camping can show up any time.
Those that can run grass mowers etc. can come a week in advance.

We have everything lined up for another great Christmas
Party. The party will be at the Dunwoody Ravinia Crowne Plaza just north of
Atlanta. We had a great turn out last year and hope to have more of your Delta
Pilot friends with us this year!
Below is a list of the folks that have signed up for the
2014 party. If your name is not listed below, please go ahead and sign up now.
If your friends are not listed, touch base with them to make they are coming
making it more fun for you.
We have hotel rooms for those of you that are out of town
or local and would like to stay overnight at the Crowne Plaza at the special
nice rate.

Parking: Self-parking on the lower
level of the hotel is free. They do have valet parking, the cost is about $7.
If you are handicap, I may have a few free valet parking.

This rate is good for three days before the event and

History: This is the 6th year we have had a
Dunwoody Delta Golden Wings Christmas party. This is the second year we have
been at the Ravinia Crown Plaza in Dunwoody. We had a great turn out last year
and hope to have an even bigger group of friends this year.
If you are in the Atlanta local area or if you
are coming from out of town and would like to stay for a night or so, we have a
really good hotel rate of $89 at the Ravinia Crowne Plaza. This rate is good
for three days before the event and three days after the event.
Having a nice rate on the rooms has given us
the opportunity to open the invitation to all of the Delta Golden Wings
membership. Caution on the rooms: we do not have a guarantee on
the number of rooms, so if you are planning on coming and would like to have a
room, go ahead and reserve it. We had about 20 rooms last year used by Delta
Golden Wings folks.
If you are doing some Christmas shopping,
Perimeter Mall is right across the street from the hotel. MARTA is just two
blocks and the hotel has free service to both places.
MARTA will quickly and cheaply get you to and
from the airport and downtown Atlanta.
Atlanta has sporting events, shopping, World
of Coca-Cola, Georgia Aquarium (world’s largest), College Football Hall of Fame
(just opened) and many other places of interest.
