Pilot Hiring
I get a number of requests about the
current Delta hiring and how to recommend someone. Although my son got hired a few years ago, I
am largely out of the close-in loop on the process. This, however, is what I know: it is a one
day event and candidates will learn results one way or another. Further, as a former pilot we can “backdoor”
a recommendation. All candidates must
enter info in www.AirlineApps.com but Delta also has a private email address for
active and retired pilots to send in a reco (see Misc section).
“New Hire class 11-2014 will began on
May 5 bringing the total number of new hires this year to 224. Flight
Operations anticipates hiring approximately at least 50 pilots per month
through April 2015.”
