HL 199 I said,About the TWA “win”.  TWA pilots were suing for an unreal amount of money approaching 1 Billion dollars.  They “won” $50 million which ALPA will pay out of loose change in the treasury……’
Camdonna has left a new comment on your post "Pension - HL 199 (2)":

Ref: ALPA paying the TWA pilots "out of loose change in the treasury", you might want to check that out. I believe that almost all of the liability will be covered by the insurance policy that ALPA carries.
Cam Foster
Editor:  Cam, thanks for the input on this, I will take it that you are likely correct on this one.  My point really wasn’t where the funds were located but that ALPA will see no need to have an assessment to pay off this debt so that very little impact came their way at all.  The real point was that while the court said it was a win, it was similar to us “winning” a stock claim for lost non-qualified benefits.  For most that CL4NQ claim amounted to about 10 cents on the dollar.

Mark;
Good day to former northern Michigan neighbor; hope all is well with your family. When I received HL 199 yesterday, I noticed at the end of the issue there was a  grey box area. Within the area was a reference to an advertisement arrow to click on; It referenced the same subject matter that we had recently visited on the web?? Can you explain this?  Thanks, Ken Thomas

Editor: I included Ken’s email for a couple of reasons.  One he is a friend and asked a good question and the other is that I don’t think I have ever addressed this before.  The blog is a product of google and like it or not the big internet players watch your surfing behavior.  Google calls it targeting the right ad to the user.  Amazon and others do the same thing.  If you look at something and it remains in your browser cookies than when you click on a google driven ad (such as the ones on the blog) you will often get a targets ad for a similar item.  It seems like it can be an intrusive privacy issue, but the only real protection against it is to not shop or search the internet cuz eyes are watching.   Here at the PCN we are not part of that at all.  It is all at the google level.  Because they offer the blogspot to me for free some side bar ads are part of the gig.

Response to the pension post in HL 199:
If it wasn't for DP3 nothing would have happened. Guys bailed because they lost patience and got caught with their pants down. Loyalty and faith are worth a lot.

Response to a museum sale:
Sorry Judy (Delta Museum Store Mgr) I don't want anything that says Delta on it. If you want to sell the uniform I wore for 31 years for the Delta "family", I will let it go real cheap.
