RE: A Notice for Dean Booth

Mark,

If this is the same Dean Booth who in open court agreed with Delta lawyers that, and I quote, “Delta can not afford the Pilots retirement”.....then I can see no reason to mention his passing.

Dean Booth represented Delta airlines against many Delta employees.

Dean Booth represented Harry Alger in his Divorce.

Dean Booth represented many former Delta executives who were left out of the Bankruptcy proof retirement program and sued Delta and gained a confidential out of court settlement guaranteeing those

who retired with managerial retirements money NO Delta Pilot received with the exception of Harry Alger and a couple of other fourth floor perfumed princes!

Dean Booth misrepresented the Delta Pilots in Bankruptcy Court and fought against those who sought the truth for Delta Pilots at DP3.

I, for one, turn my back on this individual and hope no Delta Pilot honors his passing in any way!

Captain James Patrick Doyle  jdlax@flightline.com

Delta Air Lines, Ret.

Delta Class of 2/26/73

Former Council 16 Chairman, 1998-2002

Former Board Member DP3

Editor: Capt Doyle, quite frankly I agree with most of your post.  I don’t always pass along things that are on my favorite list but in deference to some pilots who feel differently and some subscribers to the PCN, I decided to at least let the group know about his passing.  From my perspective, Mr. Booth spent more time and energy representing the interests of the corporation which at times were in sharp contrast to that of the employees.  He was of course just doing a job and as we all know was quite renowned for doing it well.  In that sense I hope that his family finds peace and that his legacy of good far outweighs anything else.
