Dear Mark,
Ev and Tom,
You guys
covered some very important topics in HL178 (3) that some of the pilots have
not kept completely aware of in their maturing into old age. They have
given up on the fight that is well worth the battle with a larger than life corporation
taking advantages.
Just want to
express a special thanks for all your time and thoughts on our behalf. THANKS
Mark, Ev, Tom, Jim George and Ann Blaz. You are very much
appreciated.
Sincerely,
Jim

Jim,
Letters like yours make it a lot easier to stay the course to the end. I feel
like Mark, Ev, and Jim have made a much longer term commitment and deserve
thanks from all of us. We are lucky to have them.
Thanks,
Tom

Subject: Your Censorship
I have written two e-mails regarding
Delta' treatment of retired pilots and neither have been posted. I have
to assume that you received both. My question is why you choose not to
print my opinions since I believe the overwhelming feelings of anger are shared
by our unfortunate group. Have you imbibed the koolaid? Are you just
" goody-two-shoes" or do you lack the desire to print honest
opinions of a retired pilot? Skip Getelman B777 A ATL
Editor; Hey Skip, Please look again.
Your post was added to another who had thoughts about DP3
support. Here is your email as it appears in the HL:
For the record; On certain issues we
certainly have differing points of view and I try my best to allow all
positions to be heard. While I fully
support the DP3 and Rob Moser’s effort, I realize there are various opinions
within our group. Just about anyone can
be heard as long as the post meets minimal criteria. For the group that sends in posts and
forwards, I do have to censor some
things and others simply do not make the cut when the issue is assembled.
What
will keep your post from appearing?
1.
Serious
profanity that I cannot mask.
2.
too
personal
3.
too
political
4.
or
simply judged inappropriate for our newsletter for our audience.
Lately the filter I have had to use the most
are forwards and posts that are too political. Skip, I only
received one of your emails and it was included in HL 178.
