For years we have all wished for an enhancement to our
retiree pass privileges. Delta's Project IGNITE team is looking into
nonrevenue flying privileges and is soliciting suggestions from active
employees and retirees regarding pass policies. This may be our last
chance for many years to make a direct appeal for improvements in
retiree flying privileges.
Remember, DALRC, Inc. is an organization that is an
advocate for all Delta retirees and their survivors, so take this rare
opportunity to be heard. Please make all comments in a respectful
manner and refrain from venting. If you know of other retirees who may
not receive DALRC's e-mails, please forward this to them.
Suggestions are being
accepted through November 16, so act right now.
Here's How You Do It.
Logon to DeltaNet
Select Employee
Info from the top menu
Select Project
IGNITE from the drop down menu
On the right side
of the Project IGNITE page under Get Involved, click on Share Your
Feedback
This will take you to the Project Ignite Feedback page.
Step 1- In the "Suggestion for" section, select the
Travel button.
Step 2 - In the "Select the appropriate HRPM/APM",
hit the drop down arrow and from the menu, select HRPM 1014: Pass
Travel on Delta Flights.
Step 3 - In the "Current situation" section describe
that Delta's retiree boarding pass priorities have not changed in many
years and with increased load factors, it makes travel much more
difficult for retirees, most of whom have worked from 30 - 40 years
helping build Delta into the premiere airline that it is today.
Step 4 - In the "How can we do this
differently/better" section, describe what type of enhancements
you would like to see approved. Some suggestions are six S-3 priority
passes each year, two S-2 priority passes each year or any other
suggestion you may have. Be reasonable and use your best judgment in
what you ask for.
Step 5 - In the "What are the benefits" section,
describe how upgrades in boarding priorities will benefit retirees. One
suggestion: "In today's environment with fewer flight and greater
load factors retiree non-revenue travel is extremely difficult. A
targeted upgrade in boarding priority would allow retirees to travel
with a greater level of confidence, while minimizing the impact on
current employees."
Step 6 - In the "Contact Information" section enter
all information. The last item asks for your company e-mail address.
Enter RETIRED and then your personal e-mail address.
