Subject: Retirees
enrolled in the Pre 65 HCTC Insurance plans through The Voluntary Benefit Trust
for Airline Retirees (formerly DP3 VEBA Trust)
If you are currently enrolled in the Pre-65 HCTC plans through the Trust and do not wish to make any changes to your plans for the 2013 plan year, you need to take no action with regard to your enrollment through Marsh, the plan administrator. You will be automatically rolled over to the 2013 plan year by Marsh, with the same programs you are currently enrolled in for 2012. Marsh will notify the IRS-HCTC of any changes to the rates for each plan participant enrolled in the Trust plans, it will not be necessary for you to notify the IRS-HCTC of the increase in cost. If you have moved or change your billing address or added or dropped people from your coverage, you will need to notify Marsh by completing and returning an HCTC Update form found on the www.conebenefits.com website to make them aware of the change, which will then be forwarded to the IRS-HCTC. The Medical, Prescription Drug and Vision programs had no rate increase for 2013, and the Dental plan received a 10% increase. There were no benefit changes to the Pre-65 plans.
Due to the increase in the
dental rates, the monthly costs will increase by the following:
- Premium
Plan and Preferred Plans will see an increase of
$4.70 ($1.29 @ 27.5%) for Single, $9.88 ($2.72 @ 27.5%) for Retiree
& Spouse and $17.34 ($4.77 @ 27.5%) for Family.
- Standard
Plan remained the same with no increase since it is not bundled with
Dental and Vision.
If you are currently having
your bank automatically send a payment to the IRS-HCTC each month, you will
need to make the necessary changes to notify your bank of the change in the
amount. You will need to check with your bank regarding the timing of this
change, but it will need to go into effect for the payment you make in
December, for your January coverage.
If you
are 65 or turning 65 soon and want a packet mailed to you with the details of
the 2013 Medicare plans available to you, please send your contact information
to info@coneinsurance.com
with your mailing address, phone number and date of birth and we will send you
our brochure and enrollment materials through email, or if you prefer, through
regular mail so you can review the plans we have available.
Thanks so much for your
support of the Trust over the past 2 years and we look forward to working with
you in the years to come to provide Airline Retirees with excellent options for
HCTC eligible participants as well as for those that are Medicare eligible. If
you know of any Retirees in the Airline industry that you think might be
interested in looking at the plans we have available, please give them our
website address (www.conebenefits.com),
so that they can review the plans we have to choose from for 2013.
Thanks as always for your
continued support of the Trust!
