“We are pleased that our pilots chose to ratify this new contract. A great deal of preparation, hard work and commitment from all involved, starting well before we began negotiations, was required to achieve this result,” said Steve Dickson, s.v.p. – Flight Operations. “ALPA’s leadership and diligent efforts put forth by the negotiating committees resulted in an agreement that provides career growth opportunities and pay, scheduling and benefits improvements to pilots, while providing Delta with the ability to strategically upgauge our fleet which will be better for Delta customers and all Delta people.” As a result of the new agreement, which takes effect July 1, Delta will more quickly retire inefficient 50-seat regional jets, while taking delivery of new, larger two-class regional jets and Boeing 717 mainline aircraft. This will result in a significant increase in the proportion of domestic flying on mainline aircraft compared to regional jets while providing an improved customer experience. Negotiating committees for Delta and ALPA on May 14 reached a tentative agreement for a new contract covering Delta’s pilots. The tentative agreement was approved by the Master Executive Council (MEC) – which is comprised of the union’s leaders – on May 21 and sent to pilots for ratification in mid-June. |

Illegals can claim child tax credits and get Refunds (and you
paid taxes on your bankruptcy claims....
Illegal aliens are receiving billions of dollars of tax
credits and refunds from the IRS through loopholes in the tax code -- all
funded by taxpayers.
These loopholes allow illegals to even claim child tax credits for relatives living in foreign countries. The total cost of the Illegal alien-funding child tax credit loophole alone totaled $4.2 billion.
Some illegal aliens are receiving $10,000 or more in rebates from the IRS because of these loopholes, claiming 7, 8 or 9 children, nieces or nephews on their tax return -- none of whom reside in the U.S.
+ + IRS Makes It Easy For Illegals To Bilk System
You may be wondering how illegal aliens -- who do not even have a Social Security number -- can even file the tax return necessary to get a tax refund. Our geniuses in the federal bureaucracy have taken care of this. The IRS conveniently provides illegals with what is called an "Individual Taxpayer Identification Number" (ITIN) so they can file their tax returns and claim tax credits and refunds.
According to one report out of Indiana, several illegal aliens each listed one residence on their tax return and together claimed more than two dozen relatives for their tax credits -- and it is unlikely that any of those relatives or the people who filed the returns actually lived at the address.

If there ever were an issue that deserved unanimous, bi-partisan support, it is this one. Congress simply must immediately close the illegal alien-funding IRS loophole that is funneling our tax dollars to illegal aliens who have broken our laws and are abusing the tax code to their benefit.

Editor: I should have been clearer, because Capt McCloskey’s question was in the MISC section of the same 132 issue. Here is the link to it: http://pcnhighlife.blogspot.com/2012/06/misc-hl-132-5.html 4th item.
