Congratulations!

The 2012 DP3 Trustee Election has ended. Bill Caiazza, George Leatherbury, and Roger Ross were all re-elected to new 3 year terms beginning July 1, 2012. Thank you to all who participated in the election process.  

I would like to congratulate Bill, George and Roger for being re-elected and at the same time thank them for their able service on all or our behalfs.  Glad you guys are back and thanks for serving!

Live each day……Leave a Legacy!

Below Capt McCloskey asks David Roberts (originator of this network) a question that will make you think.  He asked the average age of death for pilots.  Because David has religiously kept every post we ever make and places them in a spreadsheet he has the stats.  No hyperbole here, just facts. The number may surprise you. But even if it doesn’t, it will surely make you think.  It did me. Our days are numbered and time is marching along.  Have you lived your life the way you have wanted?  Are you pleased with your accomplishments?  How about you influence?  How about your legacy?  Is there going to be one? 

 You cannot visit our Flight West page without being soberly impressed.  Impressed with the quality of the lives represented and the legacies left.  I have always contended that this group is made up of outstanding and excellent people.  It has been an honor and privilege to know many of you.    However, we all need to pause from time to time.  Capt McCloskey maybe unwittingly has started something.  He has caused me (and maybe us) to pause……. think……. plan……. and maybe even change.  Time is marching on.  Live each day….Love each day …….and Leave a Legacy!
