ORD Delta Pilot's DC-9 Simulated Layover
Reminder and Baby Shower
Just a reminder that we had to change the
June ORD Delta DC-9 Layover to this coming Thursday the 28th of June. As
always, it is at 19:00 at Nick's Pizza & Pub, 856 Pyott Rd, Crystal Lake,
IL or about 1/2 mile north of the Lake In The Hills airport. Everyone and
anyone is welcome so bring a friend or two.
In keeping with the big heartedness of our
fantastic group of ORD Delta friends and family that add so much to this
monthly Thursday get together, we are again going to do something special this
coming Thursday. We are going to have a baby shower!!! That's right a baby
shower for our fantastic DC-9 Layover waitress Imelda. She is due in August and
our wives tell us she might not be there for us to have one for her in July.
The shower will be after our regular fun stuff and great meal. Several of our
wives have volunteered to bring a cake and those that want to can bring a card,
a check, cash, gift card and/or a gift for Imelda. These will be presented to
her and we'll all enjoy some cake as dessert.
There is no obligation to anyone for this
special event but if there are some of you out there that would like to
contribute but can not make this DC-9 Layover, you can send our group a check
or gift card made out to Imelda Sprenger and we will see to it that she
receives it and that you get a hug the next time you see our fantastic
waitress. Send them to: David W. Skjerven or to: Leo Bezdek

P.S. Also, just a
reminder that Captain Leo Bezdek, accompanied by the Crystal Lake Voices of
Harmony, will be singing at the Main Beach of Crystal Lake this Tuesday
evening, the 26th, at 7:00. This is a Rivinia type performance so please join
us and bring picnic type food to eat and drinks of your choice. Beer and Wine
are allowed and a comfortable chair can add to the enjoyment. Weather wise it
is suppose to be a very nice evening and the music should be good too. Captain
John Fitzpatrick and myself will be there early, around 5:00 - 5:30, to secure
some great tables near the front for all that would like to join this fun
filled event. Hope to see you there too, David W. Skjerven
