Add a travel companion as a pass rider online

Published Date 3/21/2023 9:45 AM

See the world with your best friend, sibling or other important person in your life by designating them as your Travel Companion with a new enhanced online process. Add, change or revoke your companion's status through Self-Service — no fax machine or phone calls required. The online form will determine if you are eligible to add or change a companion based on the companion pass travel policy

Non-rev travel is one of the most exciting experiences for Delta people, and we know that who you travel with is important. While family member eligibility is limited to parents, dependent children and spouses by government regulations, you have the choice to add a Travel Companion who would otherwise be ineligible for pass travel privileges.

Be aware that designating a Travel Companion may impact the privileges of some of your other pass riders.

·       If you are a married employee or have a domestic partner, the addition of a travel companion will result in the revocation of all pass travel privileges for your spouse/domestic partner.

·       If you are a single employee, the addition of a travel companion will change your parents' pass travel privileges to match pass travel privileges offered to a married employee – access to S2 flight days and transoceanic S3 flight days will end.

If either of the above is an issue, consider using a Buddy Pass instead of adding a Travel Companion.

To add your Travel Companion visit Self-Service > My Family and Pass Riders > Add Family and Pass Rider > Travel Companion and complete the necessary steps below:

·       Fill out all necessary attestation questions and provide all required data in the fillable form.

·       Agree to the legal disclaimer.

·       Submit your request.

Once submitted, your new Travel Companion will be added to your HR record. It may take 24 to 48 hours for your Travel Companion to appear in TravelNet.
