Back in the High Life Again -Theme Song:

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Adw772km7PQ&ob=av2e

Lyrics:

Back in the High Life Again

Steve Winwood

It used to seem to me that my life ran off too fast
And I had to take it slowly
Just to make the good parts last
But when you're born to run, it's so hard to just slow down
So don't be surprised to see me
Back in the bright part of town

I'll be back in the high life again
All the doors I closed one time
Will open up again
I'll be back in the high life again
All thee eyes that watched me once
Will smile and take me in

And I'll drink and dance with one hand free
Let the world back into me
I know I'll be a sight to see
Back in the high life again

Girl, you used to be the best
To make life be life to me
And I hope that you're still out there
And you're like you used to be
We'll have ourselves a time
And we'll dance the mornin' sun
And we'll let the good times come in
And we won't stop 'til we're done

We'll be back in the high life again
All the doors I closed one time
Will open up again
We'll be back in the high life again
All thee eyes that watched us once
Will smile and take us in

And we'll drink and dance with one hand free
And have the world so easily
Though we'll be a sight to see
Back in the high life again

High life
High life
In the high life again

We'll be back in the high life again
All the doors I closed one time
Will open up again
We'll be back in the high life again
All thee eyes that watched us once
Will smile and take us in

And we'll drink and dance with one hand free
And have the world so easily
Though we'll be a sight to see
Back in the high life again

High life
(Back in the high life)

Oh, we'll be back...

Dear PCN (of over 2600 subscribers),

Happy Thanksgiving 2021!!!!

In a week our nation will celebrate together our Thanksgiving holiday!   I wish you and yours a very fulfilling time of memories, good fun and lots of great fellowship with family and friends.

Again Many Many Thanks to the Well Wishes that continue to come in.

So many well wishes from friends and those new friends that are members of the PCN.   Thank you so very much and I am happy to report that 51 days after the surgery I am feeling very very good.  The healing is going well and excited to get back each day to more and more normal activity.  For example good friends or ours are taking us to a UK Wildcat baskeball game tonight.  Should be fun and my first little road trip since surgery.

So many of you sent encouraging words.  You know when you are a little under the weather those words mean a lot.  So I would encourage all of us to remember our colleagues when they have a set back or two to share some good words and deeds.

Ray Bishop sent in this that I not only found a bit funny but also extremely encouraging to my soul.

Ray Bishop, ret 2002. Checked into the local hospital 2-18-2020, diagnosed, docs first words, “bad news”. Emergency surgery, no surgeon, helicopters grounded for wx. Hour plus ambulance ride to different hospital with surgeon and OR.

This took 9 hours ( covid complications in 2020).  Praise God, surgeon walked in , squared up to wife, 2 nurses, and me and declared” We’re not operating, get 2 Ivs going , we will cure this with antibiotics.

You nurses have him walking tomorrow, I don’t want him lying around.

Severe diverticulitis, intestinal blockage, perforated bowel. 4 days later I’m home. Next day I’m in the ER at the local hospital, atrial fibrillation.  I was off blood pressure meds during the first hospital stay. Oh well, home the next day, pretty good since.

FYI, took over a year to eat semi normal diet.

Bless you, our Savior is real.

Thanks Mark.

Ray sent this pic in with the caption “LOOK FAMILIAR” and indeed it did since with this kind of procedure you gotta have the NG tube which I had and did not enjoy.

Ray Bishop fighting the good fight.

New PCN subscriber Sign Up:

As you most of you know our PCN is a private subscribed to online community.  We maintain a list of that virtually eliminates spammers or other online undesirables from joining with a simple sign up procedure, so the applicant can be screened.  I am very happy with how this has worked as we can be assured that everyone on the 2670 member list is legit.

If you know of a pilot who wishes to join our community and receive our notices they can easily and painlessly become a subscriber for FREE by simply filling out the SIGN UP form.  If a current member vouches for a friend and simply sends in their former Delta position and email, I have always considered this an appropriate vetting and added them directly to the list.

Thanks for helping the PCN remain the largest retired Delta pilot online community and for helping keep our mailing list made up of all legit subscribers.
