Dear PCN (of over 2600 subscribers),

 Greatest Athletes in the World

If you are one of the many that are not watching the Olympics, I get it.  When sport mixes with politics it is like flying a 5 day trip with a Captain who stands on a political soapbox.  Sometimes, there are activities that do not mix well and sports and political statements (in my humble opinion) are a couple of them.  All that said, there are plenty of athletes that do not play that game, and just keep it focused on the sport itself.  I am a sports fan, and I love to watch the best of the best.  In many of the categories, this Olympics features some of the best that have ever been.  In my post Delta flying for a DOD contractor, we flew the military all over the world.  But I had a lot of time in Japan and interestingly enough in places where some of the more remote venues are located.  So for me watching also takes me back to a time when I was in country  to experience Japan, the culture and their many varied locations.

There is about a week left of the competition and hope you get a little time to enjoy some of the events your most interested in.  Ahhhh the Olympics!

New PCN subscriber Sign Up:

As you most of you know our PCN is a private subscribed to online community.  We maintain a list of that virtually eliminates spammers or other online undesirables from joining with a simple sign up procedure, so the applicant can be screened.  I am very happy with how this has worked as we can be assured that everyone on the 2670 member list is legit.

If you know of a pilot who wishes to join our community and receive our notices they can easily and painlessly become a subscriber for FREE by simply filling out the SIGN UP form.  If a current member vouches for a friend and simply sends in their former Delta position and email, I have always considered this an appropriate vetting and added them directly to the list.

Thanks for helping the PCN remain the largest retired Delta pilot online community and for helping keep our mailing list made up of all legit subscribers.
