Mississippi River Cruise:

April has been busy. We started the month with a 13 day adventure with a 10 day River cruise on a paddle wheel from MSY to MEM. In a word, it was awesome! While, there has been some pretty significant Spring weather impacting the river area, our cruise was full of spectacular weather and wonderful views. The food was great, drinks were free, and our excursions and travel partners were a lot of fun. This is one to do for sure. Cistern Re-build:

From “rollin on the river” to knee deep in the goo inside an old farmhouse cistern that desparately needed some love. We drained it, pressure washed it, dried it, cement skimmed coated, dried it again, repaired the over-flo stand pipe, gave it 2 layers of duck coat, then filled it. Sound like fun to you. Well, it was satisfying when done, but a lot of work for this old camper. Here is a pictorial history.

We maintain a list of that virtually eliminates spammers or other online undesirables from joining with a simple sign up procedure, so the applicant can be screened.
