Heads up 👀
Appears  this needs be reposted.

This is from a  VERY trusted person....

**PSA part Deux**

(I’m just the messenger trying to save your benefits and career)

There was a company-wide email sent out reminding employees of 2 important policies. Violating them can have repercussions including loss of flying benefits, promotions or termination......Email  re adhering to security policies....was sent early October....Don’t have exact date!!!

1. Only the employee is allowed to use their log in credentials.

Per policy you are NOT allowed to give login credentials to anyone for any reason! This includes ANYONE in your PPR list. Your PPR list people are required to use the Travel line or you, the employee, to handle the search, listing and check in if needed.

The company has automaton to flag logins from separate locations.

Example:

Employee is a Gate agent and working Gate Z99 in East Paducah airport. Their spouse (non employee) is in Seattle signed into Travelnet and checking and listing for flights. This will cause a RED FLAG
🚩 with the company. The employee has now put their flight benefits and career in jeopardy.

2. Using unapproved Third party apps to login into DeltaNet or TravelNet is forbidden.

Apparently there are apps or programs out there that employees are using for themselves or allowing others to use to gain access for various reasons. I was unaware of this until I posted my first PSA and was informed of their existence thanks to some FGF followers. Regardless, there is apparently automation in place to flag these logins. If you are caught using them you are risking your flight benefits and possibly your job!!

Since I posted my first PSA, I have been informed of the following, all due to allowing a non-employee in their PPR to login using their credentials.

7 fired

1 = 3 year loss of flying benefits and loss of any promotions.

1 = 1 year loss of flying benefits

As for the people that sign at work with multiple devices and VPNs that show you in different geographical locations. Common sense would dictate that as long as you can explain this with proof it’s only you, then I would think you are safe.

If you use multiple devices at same time to check loads etc, I do this also, I would think you are safe if you show in same location. It’s the logins in two widely different locations that seem to be the Red Flag
🚩 target.

We are all adults here, you do what you want to do with this information.

Until some kind of app or better system is in place the Travel line should be your friend.

Editor Notes and Request:  First, a request:  If any PCN retiree has had benefits suspended or terminated I would like to know the details.  Please contact me.

My notes and thoughts:  I would think that the company has less concern about retirees for a number of reasons.  The retiree login has been changed to a “limited” DeltaNet access a few years ago.  An unauthorized user would then have a whole lot less sensitive area access than an active employee login.  For that reason, my hunch is the company will spend less resources hunting down and punishing retiree violations of this policy.  If I am wrong, then I would like to hear from any who know more on this subject.

Things that should prevent red flags in this area:

Obviously, many many people use many many devices.  Of course it would be possible to leave a device logged into the DeltaNet and leave that location to log in again to DeltaNet from a new and different location.  You also may have placed the DeltaNet on a spouses phone or device.  After reading this above caution here are a few tips I think should help:

1.      Only log into DeltaNet from a device that holds your name.   eg. Our home PC is ‘named’ Mark’s Dell, our laptop is Mark’s Netbook, and our tab is now named Mark’s Tab A.  A phone often carried by my spouse is actually owned by me and has my name on it.
2.      Always log off the DeltaNet when done accessing. Be careful about logging off.
3.      Be very careful about multiple device logins when located at different locations (away from home). Attempt to avoid logins occurring at different locations at the same time.  Note:  This is a much easier provable ‘red flag’ violation for an active employee who logs in at work then a device at their home or vacation spot logs in as well.

We earned our travel benefits, let’s use them. At the same time the company has a legitimate right to control login access.  A few good practices will prevent heartburn, raised blood pressure or worse a letter from the ivory tower.
