Светлана Капанина - Aerobatics
She is really
smooth on the controls ~ don't know if I'd call it smooth.....but she is
'on-the-controls'. Would be great for AirVenture!
She’s flying
a Zlin Z-50 is single-seat, aerobatic
airplane built by the Czechoslovakian company Zlin Aircraft. The prototype Zlín
Z-50L first flew on 18 July 1975. Z-50 was of all-metal construction, with
limit maneuvering load factors of +9.0 and -6.0
Enjoy the flight.

Thanks to Capt Ward for

I believe that the beluga XL is intended for oversized cargo
only, not pax.

Also from Capt Ward an opinion on that crazy out of control
Airbus video
Easy to be skeptical about this video shared with the PCN:

Subject: CGI?

Watched that video of the Airbus aerobatics a couple of dozen
times.
OK, while it may be true, I have my doubts.
1. When you watch the airplane it just doesn't act right.
As far as you would expect an object of that mass traveling at a typical
approach speed.
2. No sign of spoilers for roll control? In addition to the
ailerons?
2.A (I just thought of this) This is an AIRBUS.
In the event of a disagreement, the Autopilot logic always has the last
say. So what the hell would Bus logic do in the event of a total
roll? No idea, I have no intention of ever knowing much about airbus auto
flight. But the point is, this is a maneuver that a human pilot would
most likely be just a passenger when on an airbus.
3. video shot in Black and White? Really??? I think to obscure
that there are no obvious markings on the airplane. As opposed to the
ground shots that clearly show livery on the vertical stabilizer.
4. No sense of urgency on the ground crew during
evacuation. They are letting pax do their own thing.
5. WHY EVACUATE??? You have already hurt pax during the
roll, now you are safely on the ground. With probably injured pax and
crew. Evacuation will make any injuries worse.
6. IF this video were true, you think it would have gone viral at
the time. At the very least the incident would have made some of the
aviation publications.
So if this is a true video, I do apologize.
BUT>>>>>>> I think it more likely that this is CGI or a
model airplane, combined with a planned emergency evacuation for either certification
or training for a new airline.
Just my opinion
Mike
