Dear PCN (of over 2600 subscribers),
Well, PCN, here is
hoping you had a great year end. Are you
used to writing 2019 yet? Time is flying
by and so are the years. 2018 was my
first year as a completely retired aviator and it was really an adjustment and
what I have found is the somewhat weird experience of waking up in a distant
far off hotel room over and over again.
I am enjoying the retired life, however, and hope you are too. This year I am looking forward to serving
this great pilot group once again. As of now, I have just joined a flying club
and am doing some study to learn the amazing capability of the Garmin G1000
EFIS. To be honest the system is very
high tech and has far more capability than the little Cessna that it is
installed in. What a contrast. The Cessna is still a Cessna, but with the
G1000 you are flying like in a 787. Wish
me luck, as check out will be scheduled soon. More to share about flying the
G1000 later.
Can’t get enough ‘early’ madness:
March Madness is just around the corner but the NCAA college basketball
season is really heating up and there are a lot of good teams out there
competing. We’re following the Sparty’s
and Tom Izzo has a real blue collar team this year that is on a roll. They even play today vs Purdue in a good
conference matchup. In this pic we
showed up early for the MSU vs Maryland (1st vs 2nd
place) matchup with Sparty coming out on top.
Boy, if the weather is a little cold outside and gloomy, this is one way
to spice up the winter a bit by scheduling a few of these high energy games.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Full post disclaimer in left column. PCN Home Page is located at: http://pcn.homestead.com/home01.html
