Misc - HL 291 (3)

In April the DeltaNet has now been segregated so that retirees no longer have unfettered access.  If you log in to use TravelNet all of that will still be available.  But if you login to use other areas of DeltaNet you will likely not be able to.   Some of the helpful list that were available will no longer be easily accessible to non-active employees.

Subject: Houston is calling....
Greetings!   (Dave, please pass this along to your devotees, cronies and hundreds of sycophants)

Would you like a free, round trip, confirmed ticket to Houston? The only caveat is that you will have to go on May 29th at about 11:00 and, after your arrival at the IAH gate, escort two El Salvadoran teenagers to their IAH-SAL flight. Once they are on board and you’ve verified that their flight has departed, you're free to enjoy Houston. Visit relatives? See the sights? You can stay as long as you want, or even come straight back to ORD. This is a Healing the Children event and both "Flor" and "Diego" will be returning, happy and healthy, after cardiac surgery here in Illinois. Kathryn Miller Corso is going TO El Salvador in a couple of weeks to get these two kids, but she's unable to take them back. Both are 17 and old enough to be on that last flight alone from IAH to SAL, as their friends and family will be waiting for their joyous return.

Alternatively, if you have a friend or relative in Houston who is practically begging for the chance to visit you, they, too, can utilize this free ticket. They can come anytime but just have to return - with these young people - from ORD to Houston on May 29th, as mentioned above. Just drop me a note if you or someone you know might interested and available. Spanish-speaking is not a requirement.  Thank you!
