Dear PCN (of over 2600 subscribers),

10 Grandkids and the County Fair:
Want to have some fun and get a little worn out in the process?

Take 10 grandkids to the county fair.  Boone County has a nice medium size fair with all the fried pickles and cotton candy that you can take.  Wow, fun time had by all.

Last Duty cycle:
Out the door.  Right now I am in the middle of my last duty cycle and soon heading off to Ireland.  Well it is with a few mixed emotions that I embark on my this last rotation as a Captain on a B767 for Omni flying the troops.   To be honest I am completely ready for full retirement this time (when I retired in ’05 from Delta at age 52 it was a decision I regretted).

I do love flying these fabulous airliners.  I do love flying the troops……….especially bringing them home!  I will miss the comradery with some fine fellow crewmates.   But as you are well familiar with there are a few things that will not be missed at all.  I hope when you left your cup was full and you could walk away holding a head up high of with years of service that help countless people reunite with their family, friends and workmates.  That is where I am at today.  My cup is full.  I won’t look back.  My part is finished and the page has turned.  In a few days I will return to “retired” life and I am looking forward to it.  Thank you for indulging me trying to juggle this career with the PCN service that I dedicate to.  My timeliness has been lacking in these last couple of years with getting out the High Life, so I thank you for your patience.
