DELTA EMERGED FROM BANKRUPTCY ON APRIL
14, 2007, A MERE .6 MONTHS, STRANGE.
EVERY DEPARTMENT WITHIN DELTA
RECEIVED A PIECE OF THE ACTION EXCLUDING THE RETIRED PILOT'S. DELTA MANAGEMENT
REFUSED TO HEAR THE RETIRED PILOT'S CONCERNS.

BILLION EFFECTIVE ON SEPTEMBER 26, 2008.
A PROVISION IN THE DAL- NW
ACQUISITION, WAS THAT DAL WOULD PAY THE RETIRED NW PILOT'S PENSION, EVEN

The letter below, more
than anything I’ve ever written, may end up impacting Healing The Children in
ways we can’t begin to imagine. Thanks for sending it on

Greetings.
It's hard to believe
that I've been with Healing the Children since 1990, working first on
behalf of the Wisconsin chapter and then, since 2004, as president of the
Illinois/Indiana chapter. During that time, so many of you have supported
HTC, directly or indirectly. You have sent in generous donations, acted
as escorts for dozens of needy children and even opened your hearts and homes
to become loving host families. As you may know, Healing the Children is
also a National Organization supporting 16 chapters throughout the US. I
am writing this letter on behalf of the National Organization, the results of
which will benefit all of the individual branches, like Illinois-Indiana, as
well as support humanitarian projects around the corner or around the world.
The HTC National Office
is looking for a volunteer grant writer who could generate, pro-bono, perhaps 5
or 6 grants each year. If you have a friend or family member - or even
yourself - who might like to volunteer their time and talents, ideally someone
who has successfully done grant writing in the past, please let me know!

organizations has already been compiled and facts and figures regarding the
charitable work done by HTC each year is also available. We have an
experienced grant writer on our National Board who will support your
efforts. What is now needed is someone willing to donate the time and
coordination to put everything together in a professional and compelling
way. This email is going out to lots and lots of my Delta family members,
both active and retired, with the hope that someone, somewhere, will be
interested in helping HTC make a big difference in countless needy lives by
contributing their grant writing skills. Thank you for your time and
consideration.
