Any Help for the Captain?
Lynne and I are going on a cruise later this month, taking the Holland America Line's ZAANDAM from Buenos Aires, Argentine around Cape Horn to Valparaiso, Chile two weeks later. We'll have three days in Buenos Aires before the cruise and three days in Santiago, Chile afterward.
Our short shore stops enroute are in Montevideo, Uruguay, Stanley, Falklands, Punta Arenas, Chile, Ushuaia, Argentina, and Puerto Montt, Chile. We're not doing the Antarctica version of this cruise.
I know many of you have been to this area of the world and we have not, so I'm seeking your suggestions, your travel tips, on the great things to see in each of these places, the things you enjoyed the most.
Just click email and send me what you can recall as the Good, the Bad and the UGLY. We don't want to go near the UGLY but we don't want to miss the good things that may not be mentioned in the travel books. This may be our only travel to this part of the world and we want to enjoy as much as we can in the limited time we have.
