Subject: Care Fund 'Giving from the Heart' campaign kicks off this month

This month kicked off the Care and Scholarship Fund’s annual “Giving  from the Heart” campaign, the main fundraiser for the two funds supporting Delta people who are facing hardship or disaster, or pursuing higher education. The campaign runs through March 31. 
The goal of this year’s campaign is to increase the payroll deduction participation rate, which is currently at 25.8 percent for the Care Fund and 13.4 percent for the Scholarship Fund. Employees who wish to contribute to the fund regularly can opt-in to a recurring payroll deductible donation.
As an added incentive for this year’s campaign, the Fund is offering two prize drawings for those who participate– a car and four pairs of positive space Delta tickets.
Campaign participants will be entered into the car sweepstakes, sponsored by Carvana and the Delta Community Credit Union, and one lucky winner will receive a car valued at $15,000. The winner will be able to select from cars available at the Carvana website when the prize is awarded at the Atlanta block party in May. 
To enter to win the positive space tickets, campaign participants can visit the Delta People Care Fund page for sweepstakes  details and rules. 
Since its launch in 2007, the Delta Employee and Retiree Care Fund has provided support to more than 7,000 Delta people and their families. The Fund has offered over $1 million in grants to employees and retirees every year since 2011 and $1.47 million in 2015. There are countless inspiring  stories of Delta people getting back on their feet with assistance from the Care Fund.
