Subject: Fwd: Our good friends recently retired  Capt Jim and Anita Hart need your prayers

Dear Mark and John,  I don't know how the Delta Pilot's group should respond to this news about our Delta Pilot classmate Mark, and retired ALT Pilot, John, ORD and ATL Delta Captain Jim Hart, but I wanted to pass this information along.  I am sure they could use a lot of help.   I am at a loss since we are so far away up here in ORD.  Maybe those in ATL can lend a helping hand.  David W. Skjerven

Subj: Our good friends Jim and Anita Hart need your prayers

As most of you know our good friend Jim Hart had a brain tumor the size of a lemon removed from his head early this spring.  Jim went into chemo and radiation but by the end of the summer the tumor had grown back to about its original size.  So different chemo and radiation treatments are now being tried.  We have not heard if the new treatments are stopping the growth or not.  But Jim is having a tough time with vision, speech and thought patterns.
Anyway, we just heard from them and their son Brian who is about 25 years old was severely injured in an ATV accident this afternoon.  He is in a hospital in Athens, GA in intensive care with his back broken in 2 places, several other injuries and no feeling below his waist.  They are going to do surgery on Brian tomorrow or Monday.  Jim and Anita are there with him.
Caryn and I were going to go visit them there in Atlanta on Wednesday and Thursday of this coming week but have put that on hold unless they need us for anything.
Please keep Jim, Anita and their family in your thoughts and prayers,  David and Caryn Skjerven
