Happy Labor Day Weekend to everyone,
This is the final update for the Delta/ORD fly-in.  As a reminder, the fly-in is this Wednesday, September 9th.  The hosts are the McGreevy Family.  The location is at Steve McGreevy Jr's home and hangar at the Poplar Grove Airport (C77).  Early arrivals will be greeted with homemade muffins and coffee, starting at 8:00 am.  The luncheon will be served at around 12:00 noon.  Fly-ins and drive ins are welcome.
If you are driving in the airport address is:
11619 RT. 76
Poplar Grove, IL   61065
As you enter the airport follow the Delta widgets to the parking area.  We will have folks to help you find your way.  The car parking area is a grass lot adjacent to Steve's house.  If you have any problems call Steve's cell (815)592-8224.
Flying in, the airport identifier is C77.  The Unicom frequency is 122.8, and I will be monitoring the frequency if you have questions. All runways are left traffic.  Use caution for NORDO aircraft, we do have a lot of antiques on the field that don't have radios.  After arrival head to the far west end of the airport, and look for the Delta widgets to guide you to parking.  Again we will have people to help with parking.  Most of the parking will be in grassy areas.  If you are unable to use the grass to park and need hard surface parking, let me know as you are arriving and we can find hard surface parking on the north side of the field, and shuttle you back and forth to the house.
There are several folks arriving on Tuesday evening, and we will be joining our local EAA Chapter, 1414 for dinner at the EAA Chapter hangar on the north side of the airport.  If you are in the area Tuesday September 8th, feel free to join us.  We will meet at Steve Jr's house at around 5:00 pm, and then go over to the chapter hangar around 5:30.  Dinner is $7.00 per person.  If you are interested, the chapter is hosting Charlie Becker from EAA Headquarters, and he will have the "One Week Wonder" Zenith CH750, built by volunteers during AIrventure 2014.  Charlie will be speaking about the homebuilt movement.
We have had a lot of RSVP's, and we are sure it is going to be a great day.  We look forward to seeing everyone, and wish safe travels to all.  If you have any questions, please call or email.

Steve and Katie McGreevy
