Dear PCN (of over 2600 subscribers),
Happy Easter!!
Everybody
loves the Easter/Passover season because of the
on-set
of Spring and the promise of renewal.
For me, and others of
Christian faith, there is no more important celebration than this incredible
day. I’m reminded of the famous Edith
Burns who used to ask, “Do you believe in Easter?” Well, I do! Because of this historic day my heart, world
view and the life I live has completely changed. It is in part because of this day I serve,
and that includes labors for the PCN.
On this day we
celebrate the One who came and during His life we believe He performed many
miracles to and for people including the ultimate of resurrecting to life. Later,
He himself, on this day we celebrate, was miraculously resurrected and mankind
and this world has never been the same since.
Miracles do happen!
Do you believe in Easter? Have a memorable and great one!

Pictures in Death
Notices:
I had a suggestion that we add pictures to all Death
Notices. Actually, Carol already does
that for most cases where we actually have a picture available. However, please realize that the notice
simply points you to our Flight West page where there is a more complete
listing of the obit and details of our fellow colleague.
DP3 Website:
I received a few requests that members have mis-located
the address for the DP3 website. Well,
if you are an honor roll member and part of the legal proceedings, please keep
this site handy - http://www.dp3.org/
YOUR INPUT FOR PCN or
HIGH LIFE IMPROVEMENT:
I had a suggestion to format “Reader View” for IPad
users, and I would be happy to do that if I knew how. You may have experience with blogs or with
PDF’s that I could utilize to improve our readers experience. If you do SEND ‘EM IN! I am happy to try and make the High Life
easier and better for our subscribers.
A few reminders of our Format that has built in advantages. The newsletter and blog are divided by
SECTION. You may have or wish to sort on
items within a particular section. I set
this up so that was possible. For
example you may visit the blog and click on the category “Hangar Flying” and
all issues offerings in that section will be sorted. The same is true of any section you sort
on.
OPTIMIZED: Yes,
the High Life Blog is optimized for small devices and can be read (along with
Flight West) on your smart phone. If you
haven’t tried that out, check it out.

VA Aid &
Attendance Pension:
For any veteran who has served day one in a combat
theatre, they are eligible for a pension from the VA totaling up to $2085/mo.
for a vet and spouse when living in assisted or skilled nursing home. As I previously mentioned, I applied for this
benefit for my 93 year old WWII Nightfighter pilot father, and we got the
award! We are very grateful for this
extra money as we just moved my mom and dad into an assisted living
facility. If you are interested in more
information about this little know about benefit for yourself, a friend or
relative, please see these couple of sites for starters:
