Atlanta G.O. campus parking information for
retirees

More than 550 parking spaces have been added to alleviate many of the day-to-day parking frustrations of G.O-employees by smoothing out surfaces and restriping parking spaces. In addition, the parking lot changes have made it possible to return a 24/7 shuttle service to the G.O. campus. The General Office East (GOE) bus was returned to campus and the GOE non-rev parking lot was reopened at the end of 2014 and has improved non-rev parking options.
Retirees with a Delta badge may use the GOE parking lot and free airport shuttle service to and from designated non-rev travel parking. Only individuals with an official Delta employee or retiree badge can access the GOE shuttle service to the airport.
Here are a few other changes you may notice:
- The bus shelter at the GOE stop has been relocated to allow for improved bus turnaround space and access.
- G.O.-based employees are now encouraged to park in the same location they use for daily office hours parking when traveling which opens up more GOE parking spaces for retirees and non-G.O.-based employees.
- The GOE lot has been re-striped to improve the width of parking spaces. The standard width of a parking space is 9 feet based on employee feedback from earlier phases of the project.
- The fence around GOE non-rev parking area has been updated and will eventually include a pedestrian access gate to the G.O. campus. Once the new gate has been installed, only authorized employees (primarily those who are based in and work out of the G.O.) will be able to enter the GOE lot from the G.O. campus.
- A 20 foot sliding vehicle access gate has been installed near the East gate for museum patrons to access the dedicated museum parking area.
Delta’s Corporate Real Estate team appreciates your patience during the process as they work to produce an improved parking experience for everyone on campus.
The investment in parking lot infrastructure is part of Delta’s 2015 Flight Plan goals to provide a safe work environment and continue building a great place to work

2015 Annual Fundraising Campaign
February 2, 2015
The Delta Employee & Retiree Care Fund and Delta Scholarship Fund boards
are launching their 4th annual fundraising campaign, “GIVING FROM THE HEART”,
during the month of February. Your help is needed now. Overall, 25.7% have pledged their support through payroll deductions. With 23.4% currently contributing to the Care Fund and 11.5% to the Scholarship Fund, our goal for 2015 is to increase donations through payroll deductions. Pledging to support these funds is important to their future success.
$1.27 Million was awarded by the Care Fund in 2014. Since launching in Oct 2007, over 6,500 Delta people have received Care Fund assistance when facing a sudden, unexpected crisis. Grants given in 2014 supported many facing a financial crisis following an accident, illness, injury, fire, flood, tornado, hurricane and many other unexpected crises. Care Fund grants continue to increase and additional donations and fundraising efforts are needed to sustain current grant levels.
$1 Million in scholarships is now available to Delta people with over $3M offered by the Scholarship Fund since launching in 2008. 562 New scholarships are available for the 2015-16 academic year with applications accepted through February. This represents an 81% increase in scholarship value since 2014 to support Delta people. Current scholarships are funded primarily by 11.5% of employees donating through payroll deductions. Applications are accepted through Feb 28 from employees and their eligible dependents with application link available on DeltaNet. Supporting the Scholarship Fund financially through this campaign is an investment in Delta people and is key to its continued growth to award more scholarships.
CAR SWEEPSTAKES
In an effort to increase employee participation supporting the Care Fund and Scholarship Fund, a car sweepstakes will launch February 1 with winner receiving a 2014 Toyota Corolla donated by Carvana (www.carvana.com). The sweepstakes will end with the Delta Block Party where the car will be given away. Multiple drawings will be held during the sweepstakes to select a minimum of 10 finalists who will each be given a key, a $100 gift card donated by Delta Uplift and invited to try their key at the Atlanta Delta Block Party in May for a chance to win the car. There are multiple ways to enter through payroll and pension deductions, cash donations, Champion Training and holding fundraisers.
Thank you to all donors – you are truly changing lives! Those who are benefiting from these funds are extremely grateful for the support being provided by those who have already pledged a payroll or pension deductible donation and supported fundraising efforts. Your donations are making a difference every day in the lives of Delta people around the world. There’s more work to be done and many more to help! The personal involvement of employees across the company is needed to ensure the success of our 4th annual fundraising campaign.
GIVING FROM THE HEART - Get involved now!
The Care and Scholarship Fund board members and Champions will be working together to promote these funds during the giving campaign to increase payroll deductible pledges and fundraising efforts. Champion training including webinars are offered throughout the year on LMS, Course Code DLCHAMP. (FOR RETIREES: See attached Flyer).Serving as a Delta People Care Champion is a great opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills while helping your colleagues!
During this year’s annual giving campaign, four winners will each receive 2 positive space Delta tickets (48 states, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, restrictions apply). There are multiple ways to receive entries to win these tickets and also receive entries into the car sweepstakes including donating to each fund through payroll or pension deductions, increasing your current recurring donation amount, making a cash donation and holding fundraisers. Champions who attend training starting Jan 2015 are entered in all drawings. Those who participate in the Champion webinar through LMS Course Code DLCHAMP will also receive an additional entry.
