Concerning “Last Hoorah”

Mark,
Thank you for your heavy lifting, putting out High Life and
PCN. You do a SH job with both of them.
I think your "Last Hoorah" is the waste of a
gentlemen's time and emotion. Yours. Since you said it was for
general publication, I tried to read it as though I was neither privy to, nor
invested in, its content. If someone, stuffed in Coach reads it, they'll
think we were overpaid whiners who should have planned better. If someone
in first Class reads it, they'll wonder how they can emulate 2005. I think
you've simply taken a knife to a gunfight.
Civil Rights won after they went to the streets. LGBT
won after they went to the streets. We went to board and court rooms, and
lost. We never cost DAL money or face (Lawyers for them are bidness).
I'm not for insulting management with a daily bag that I collect from my
cat's sandbox, or for immolating myself in the terminal, but white glove
attempts have proven ineffective.
Every time I see Richard's Welcome Aboard video about Delta
and its great People, I am insulted and enraged . The last time I felt this way
was hearing LBJ say he cried as he read our losses, and I was on my way to
Hanoi at night, with his rules, alone, to hit his hand picked target.
To Richard, et. al., we're simply road kill in the rear view
mirror. No one goes back to check on a flat possum.
Best regards, and I hope you haven't written your last,
Jim Neal

Mark,
With no one else advancing to the fire, someone has to throw
themselves across the barbwire.
It's now easy to say that on Day1 we should have
rolled in hot and nuked Virginia Avenue: might have made the Flying Pig
collateral damage, though.
Keep your quill wet,
Jim
Editor: I want to thank Jim for a compliment and his
very honest and candid remarks in the post above. You would be surprised with how much of what
Jim says that I also feel and believe. I
know that what I am trying to do is likely peeing in the wind but I did it
anyway. I do have a desire for our story
to get known and simply wanted to contribute something that may advance that
cause.

Mark,
I
hope you have a chance to send your article to all the local papers in the
Atlanta area and to all the major news organizations in the country. The local
paper here in Fayette County, GA is www.thecitizen.com .
Delta
has always tried to avoid negative publicity so maybe this is the only way we
will get any satisfaction in our continued fight to recover what we have lost.
Thanks for your hard work.

Editor: Thanks Bryan, There is a strong likelihood that this
article will not move the football.
That, however, is not the reason I wrote it. For lack of a better explanation it was just
something I wanted to get off my chest in the hopes that it could find a wider
audience.

Mark,
Read your article regarding the fight for
recognition. You and the others should be proud for what you did
regardless of the result. One avenue you might want to check out would be
emailing Mr xxxxxx ((This is precisely what I need YOUR
(and other PCN member’s ) help with……making media outlet contacts with this
story))
He is one of the reporter’s for the XXX
program.
Yours, JP

Go Seahawks!
I have delivered the below
article to the AJC and hope that the PCN subscribers (like JP above) can
help me get other media outlets to publish the jest of this
article.
