It is hard to believe that many retired Delta pilots are
unaware of the significant benefit to which their eligible survivors may be
entitled under the D&S Plan. Mike Lloyd, who has joined the DDPSA Board to
Directors, intends to help educate retired Delta pilots in that regard.

of Mike to the DDPSA Board of Directors.Ev

NEWS-
January 6, 2014
MIKE LLOYD IS ELECTED
TO THE DDPSA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
DDPSA has added Mike
Lloyd to the Board of Directors. Mike was hired by Delta in 1972 and retired in
2004. He has a long history of service to his fellow pilots, specifically for
five years as Chairman of the Delta Pilots Mutual Aid Association (DPMA). Mike
is looking forward to assisting DDPSA in helping retired pilots better
understand the significant survivor benefits that exist under the Delta Pilots
Disability and Survivorship (D&S) Plan and how important it is to have an
organization such as DDPSA to be the watchdog over the benefits of survivors of
Delta retired pilots.
Mike Lloyd’s addition
to the Board of Directors diversifies board member backgrounds to aid DDPSA in
focusing on survivor benefits. There now are two normally retired pilots and
two survivors of deceased pilots serving on the DDPSA Board of Directors.
DDPSA
Chairman, Ev Gost, said, “The shift of focus towards survivors’ benefits is a
natural transition for DDPSA given the fact that there are as many as 5,000
potential survivors who may receive benefits from the D&S Plan. Mike Lloyd
will be instrumental in assisting DDPSA as it concentrates more on survivor
benefits.”
