Travel / Non-Revving - HL 178 (1)

Another response to Capt Bauer’s request about Non-Reving.

Subject: Non-Reving and Imputed Income charges

Mark, I recently read (YGBSM2.com) that Delta may be keeping track of any Non-Rev flights an active or retired employee makes and will send (in the retiree's case) a 1099 to that individual at the end of the year as additional income re the IRS.  The addl income for the non-rev travel will be based on "the yield fare" on each leg.  If you go to Travelnet and look under "Manage my Account", you will see a category listed "Imputed Income".  When I try to get a total for 2012 ( we still use the benefit quite a bit, although it's certainly gotten challenging) it states "No records found".  Maybe they are still gearing up for this, maybe it doesn't apply????  I thought we addressed this (airline employees) a number of times in the past and headed this off with write-in campaigns, congressional letters and phone calls.  Have they slipped this one by us......I have heard zero from Delta on this, if it is in- fact true?????.  Thanks, don Palmer
