(Retired 2001)
Hi Mark,
Since Bob retired from Delta, he has been happily flying for
Netjets. He's had a could of brief health glitches that have temporarily
grounded, but it looks like his latest problem will keep him on the ground, for
good. He had a pacemaker inserted in December for atrial fibrillation,
and in the process of getting his medical back, we found out his problem is
much more significant than we thought. I won't get into all of the
medical jargon, but he is getting a new pacemaker on Tuesday that will be
connected to the upper and lower parts of the heart, plus a defibrillator.
You know it isn't good when the doctor uses the terms "heart
failure" and "sudden death" in the same sentence.
Bob is in great spirits and is adding more things to the
"honey-do list" than I have. We moved to Macon in December and
we're 10 minutes from four of the grandbabies, so he will not be bored.
If anyone would like to email him, his email is deltabobm@gmail.com
and our phone is 478-254-7922.
All prayers are greatly appreciated!
