Comments - Feedback on the hotel scam article: While a
little paranoia goes a long way, I would not overly worry about this scam. That
said it is never a good idea to give out that extensive type of credit card
information over the phone. This particular reported scam has been floating
around the internet via email for some years. Hotels will not connect an
outside caller to a room number without additional information like the
occupants name. Try it at a random hotel. Also, they will not give out a room number
if you supply the occupants name, instead they will just connect you. Read all
about it here if you choose. http://www.snopes.com/fraud/phishing/hotel.asp
