Subject: job teaching ground school MD-80
Hi George,
I hope all is going well in
NH. I have really missed not being able to attend the Fly-ins and catch up with
everyone.
I
am in Sanford, FL (just north of Orlando) working for a startup airline called
Orange Air. We are going to be a 121Supplemental carrier operating MD-80s and
plan to get our Operating Certificate by Jan or Feb. In the meantime, we are
looking for an MD-80 guy (preferably retired) that might be interested in
teaching ground school and eventually being a simulator instructor as well. The
individual would probably need to live in the Orlando area or be able to
commute here quite often.
I
was hoping that you might disseminate this through your network and see if
there might be anyone interested.

Subject: F-35B sea trials.
This video was made just 6
weeks ago in the Atlantic, just off Newport News ( Hampton Roads), Virginia .
These are the latest sea trials
of the F-35B on the USS Wasp. They were very successful, with 74 Vertical
Landings’ & Standard Take Offs in a 3 week period.
The media and the program
critics had predicted that we would burn holes in the deck and wash sailors
overboard.
Neither of which happened.
You will notice a sailor standing on the bow of the ship as the jet rotates.
That was an intentional
part of the sea trials.
No catapult... No hook...
It’s a
new world out there!
The shape and scope of
warfare worldwide just changed.
