Voluntary Benefit Trust for Airline Retirees

(formerly DP3 VEBA Trust) Announces Important Changes for 2013

The Board of the Voluntary Benefit Trust for Airline Retirees (formerly DP3 VEBA Trust) is pleased to announce we have a new name that will more clearly define the eligibility of Retirees eligible to participate in this Trust in the future.  Effective January 1, 2013, the Trust will be expanded to include Retirees from ALL Airlines.  This enhancement will provide access to healthcare benefits to Retirees of all US Airlines that can show proof of at least 5 years of service with their respective Airline.  The Trust will offer plan options to retirees who are eligible for Medicare as well as plan options for retirees who are between the ages of 55-64 and eligible for the Health Coverage Tax Credit (HCTC) 72.5% Subsidy available through the IRS.  Please help us spread the word to your other airline friends about this exciting new opportunity!

Medicare Eligible Retirees

Effective January 1, 2013 we are please to introduce several new enhancements to the Medicare programs through this Trust.  These enhancements include:

·         Flat Rate of $167.98 for the Medicare Supplement Plan F that has a ZERO Deductible and Zero Out of Pocket, in all states where the Supplemental Plan is offered.   The exceptions are Florida and Washington which will still have age and zip code banding due to specific state mandates; the Supplemental plan is not available in Minnesota, New Hampshire and Vermont.

·         2 Supplemental Plans ( coverage that coordinates with Medicare using any doctor or hospital)

1.       Plan A (Florida only as required by state mandate)

2.       Plan F – This is a true Plan F that has ZERO Deductible and ZERO Out of Pocket Costs.  Aetna pays what Medicare does not cover if it is a Medicare approved service!

·         2 Medicare Advantage PPO Plans

1.       $15 PPO High Plan – $15 co-pay for almost all services, cost is $0 if you go into the hospital, and includes the High prescription drug plan that provides generics and brand drugs if you hit the coverage gap.

2.       $25 PPO Low Plan - $25 co-pay for almost all services, co-pay is $250 if you go into the hospital, and includes the Low prescription drug plan (no gap coverage).

·         3 Stand Alone Prescription Drug Plans that you can pair with your Plan F or purchase as Standalone Plans

1.       High Plan - provides generic and brand coverage in the coverage gap (donut hole)

2.       Low Plan - provides coverage up to the coverage gap with a comprehensive formulary

3.       NEW Value Plan - provides an ideal option for retirees that do not take many drugs, but must meet the Part D requirement of being enrolled in a prescription drug plan or receive a lifetime penalty from Medicare.  This plan has a $240 deductible with coverage up to the gap with a comprehensive formulary.  The rate varies by state, but has an average price of $21 per month.

·         2 Dental Plans

2.       Low Plan - provides $1,500 annual maximum benefit with no deductible
