Travel / Non Revving - HL 133 (2)

Subject: ATL Intl F Terminal Trek vs CDG Terminal 2E to 2D

Hi Mark,

I thank Dave Roberts for his cautionary advice regarding the hike from the new International Terminal F at ATL. Here's another hiking tale: This one is about Paris CDG for those lucky enough to get seats going there and who are also transferring to intra-Europe flights on other airlines...

You would think that Terminal 2E where Delta flights arrive would be adjacent to Terminal 2D where many intra-Europe flightes depart. Nope! Pas de tout! Get yer walkin' shoes on... because it's about 1 1/2 miles or so through a rabbit warren of tubes, concourses, and eventually passport control! Even with just hand baggage, you will not make that 45 minute connection. On the other hand, the new eZed fare ticketing process is very convenient if you are traveling further on via Air France, Lufthansa, Air Berlin, Austrian, and some others.

Happy hiking,

Charlie Quilter

Summer nonrev alert for San Juan, Puerto Rico

Delta’s Pass Travel team is alerting employees to expect heavy passenger traffic this summer on routes between the U.S. and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
“Load factors for flights departing San Juan during the June-to-September period regularly exceed 95%,” said Carol Smart, program manager-Pass Travel. “Nonrevenue passengers and buddy pass riders should use caution when considering listing for these flights. Available seats in BusinessElite may be used to accommodate revenue passengers who have been overbooked in economy class.”
San Juan is a major cruise ship port for the Caribbean islands.
