Subject: Quote
from Mr. Garrett
Mark,
I had an opportunity to actually work with
and speak with individuals who went as far back as CEW. However, I came aboard
later and was there for the reign of Dave Garrett. I want to share part of a
conversation I had with him one on one for an hour while commuting from JAX to
ATL.
He told me that he was given advice by CEW
that if one hired the best people and in particular pilot's he would find it
easier to sleep at night. Mr. Garrett told me he slept very well at night. I am
sure many will remember tough contract fights because he was also a tough
business man. At the same time I came away with a concept of the underlying
respect he had for the people who flew Delta's aircraft. We all know that
respect or "perception of it" was something that has not always been
felt by the pilot group.
Regards,
Rick Bauer

Vietnam Wall
Vietnam
Wall - THIS IS AMAZING
This
is really sobering. Click on the link and find the city you went to high school
and look at the names.
Click on the name and it will give details of the
death.
Vietnam Wall
First click on a state. When it opens, scroll
down to the city and the names will appear. Then click on their names. It
should show you picture of the person, or at least their bio and medals.
This really is an amazing web site. Someone spent
a lot of time and effort to create it.
I hope that everyone who receives this
appreciates what those who served in Vietnam sacrificed for our country. The link below is a
virtual wall of all those lost during the Vietnam War with the names, bio's and
other information on our lost heroes.
Those who remember that time frame, or perhaps
lost friends or family can look them up on this site.
Pass the link on to others, as many knew
wonderful people whose names are listed.
