I was told that you were the person to ask this question - hope you can help me out.
In reguards to the:

Tax-deferred Payments to IRAs due to Delta's Bankruptcy

In a DP3 newsletter, it was stated: "We have just learned that recently passed legislation will allow retired pilots to fund tax deferred IRAs with settlement funds received due to Delta's bankruptcy case. The legislation also allows affected retired pilots to re-file their 2007 federal income tax returns to take advantage of the favorable tax consequences of this new legislative option. (These funds were originally included in taxable income and the only investment options were to fund Roth IRAs after paying any applicable taxes on the bankruptcy settlements.)"

I need to look into refiling my taxes, but need some guidance. Is there a CPA (or someone that is knowledgeable with this) in the Woodstock/Marietta or Atlanta area that I can contact to look into this as I have no clue as to what I need to do. Help Please!

The new Blog format is a big improvement on my 3 computers. It used to be jerky when I tried to scroll and was very difficult to use compared to the original format prior to switching to the blog format. Now it scrolls smoothly and is much more user friendly.
