FOURTH ANNUAL FLY-IN / DRIVE-IN
May 17, 2017 – 11AM
*Rain or Shine*
The 2017 FLY-IN/DRIVE-IN is sponsored by Delta
Golden Wings along with the Candler Field Museum to foster the camaraderie of
Delta pilots, Clipped Wings, Pioneers, and friends. Fly or drive your airplane
or special car and we will place it on display for all to admire. But you don’t need an airplane or special car to participate…just come and join the fun! Guests are welcome!
A $5.00 donation is requested to “Help Youth
Achieve Their Dreams.” Proceeds from the event will support the Candler Field Youth
Mentorship Program where young people learn to restore, maintain and fly airplanes.
The new Doug Davis Hangar will be open for visitors.
Mingle with old friends, visit the museum, or admire the cars and
planes. Plan to stay for the day. The Barnstormer Grill will be open and a
hamburgers and hot dogs fundraiser available from 11:30 –
1pm. A short memorial program for Ron
Alexander will take place in the hangar at 1:15pm.
We hope to see you!
